All my trucks have a white cross in the window – ask any of my drivers what it’s like driving for me and the condition of my equipment. I am a small fleet owner. I am always looking for drivers. I’m one of the few owner operators that doesn’t charge for fuel or ELD charges. All of my moves pay a flat rate per move. The only expense the driver has is occupational accident insurance. I’m also willing to pay a 50/50 split after fuel. Most drivers prefer the flat rate pay over 50/50 split. I have trucks on at different local companies and can put a driver on at one of the companies I currently work with. I’m also willing to try a new company if a driver knows of a good local company they would like to work with. Driving for me the driver has choices – where and how they are paid.
