The Yard Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. This role requires a strong understanding of various types of trucks and trailers, as well as a commitment to safety and compliance with all regulations. Duties Temp to hire Safely operate yard trucks to move trailers to designated locations within the yard. Maneuver various types of trailers using the Jockey truck Assist in loading and unloading freight as necessary Maintain accurate records of trailer movements and report any discrepancies. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment in the yard. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate movements and ensure timely deliveries. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred. Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer combinations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
