$19 – $21/hr employment type: experience level: mid level job title: CDL A Tanker Endorsment Job Description We seek a dedicated and skilled Yard Jocky Driver with a CDL-A license and tanker endorsement to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard, ensuring that freight is delivered on time and in good condition. This role requires a strong understanding of truck driving and yard operations and the ability to operate various types of vehicles. Duties Safely maneuver trucks and trailers in the yard, ensuring proper positioning for loading and unloading. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations for two locations. Operate different types of vehicles including flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and forklifts as needed. Assist in loading and unloading freight, ensuring all cargo is secured properly. Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and report any issues or discrepancies to management. Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize yard operations. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment in the yard. Experience Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities is a plus. Experience operating flatbed trucks, tankers, dump trucks, or forklifts is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
