The transportation driver is responsible for providing superior, non-emergency medical transportation and care for our patients/customers. The transportation driver’s main role is to transport and assist our clients with any form of medical treatment, appointment, or other scheduled events.

Responsibilities and Duties:

 Provides the client with prompt, effective, and appropriate care.  Assists the client with entering and/or exiting the vehicle  Monitors well-being of the patient/client and ensures patient’s/client’s privacy and comfort  Ensures that all vehicle occupants (patients, passengers, and crew members) are properly and safely restrained., while following all safety and compliance policies and procedures  Completes a vehicle safety inspection and turns into the assigned dispatcher at the beginning of each shift.  Assures that all wheelchairs are properly restrained in the required restraints, but also that all wheelchair patients/clients are safely fastened in the wheelchair until the client is transferred from the wheelchair at their destination. Requirements, skills, and qualifications  High School or GED equivalent required  Required CPR/first aid certification (company provides it)  Prior experience in a transportation-related position preferred  Experience with scheduling passenger pickups and drop off  Ability to lift, move push and pull equipment, ability to lift in excess of 40- 70 lbs.  A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (a must)  Must be able to obtain a copy of your MVR for the last 3 years (able to retrieve from GA Dept of Driver Services) without any violations in the past 24 months, and no more than 2 in the past 5 years.
