Box Truck Driver Asharp Logistics 201 Arborview Drive, McDonough, GA 30252 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various types of cargo. Duties Operate a box truck or similar vehicle for the delivery of goods. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading tasks. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Assist in moving items within the warehouse as needed. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory for all positions. Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures. Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling deliveries. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and protocols.
