RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Opens and closes site according to the operating hours.
• Checks in with Lead Convenience site worker.
• Does not leave site unmanned.
• Greets all incoming customers.
• Unauthorized customers should be directed to other sites.
• Performs spot checks on incoming loads and ensures materials are acceptable.
• Unacceptable waste should be directed to other sites.
• Directs customers with overloaded vehicles to the transfer station.
• Directs commercial customers to transfer station.
• Monitors use of the dumpsters and ensures dumpsters are only used for household trash.
• Wears proper PPE.
• Cleans up work areas and directs customers to the correct container for disposal.
• Cleans track and area as compactors are pulled away.
• Performs yard work, including paper and blowing debris pick up.
• Directs traffic at the site as necessary.
• Helps customers as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to physically perform standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, talking, hearing, handling and repetitive motions of the hands, wrists and feet.
• Must possess the visual acuity to visually inspect parts and materials, use hand tools and scrutinize materials and incoming loads.
• Worker is subject to outside environmental conditions including extreme hot and cold temperatures, atmospheric conditions (wind, rain, ice/snow and humidity) for extended periods of time during the day or night.

SHIFTS:

1st Shift 7:00am – 7:00pm Monday through Sunday, weekends mandatory.

PAY:
