- Gate is responsible for directing outgoing and incoming traffic while checking and reconciling traffic by performing the following duties.
What your day will look like:
Welcome and direct all visitorsHandle customer pick upsCheck all vehicles in and out of the plantCount, sort, verify all material by classification Key or correct inventory to match physical material counts on trucksCheck all routes to ensure outload and in load totals matchVerify seals and trailer matches driver paperworkClean and maintain office/gate and surrounding areasPerforms appropriate duties as assigned by managementWhat you need to succeed:
Minimum age of 18 years oldPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak English Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyLess than high school education; or up to 6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceWillingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as requiredFrequent sitting, standing, walking, exposure to weather and frequent lifting, carrying pushing, and pulling of up to 50lbsAbility to communicate driver issues to the proper department Ability to demonstrate initiative and teamworkPhysical RequirementsPosition will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program.
