Dump Truck Driver Tripple J Construction Lake Charles, LA 70601 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent route navigation skills, and the ability to operate various types of trucks, including those equipped for specialized transport. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and materials transported. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and operational readiness of the truck. Must be available to work nights as needed. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with dump trucks. Familiarity with various types of trailers including tanker, flatbed, refrigerated trailers, and route driving experience is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading materials is advantageous. Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong attention to detail in completing logs and following safety procedures. Good physical stamina as the role may require lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
