We are currently seeking a Construction Haul/Low Boy Truck Driver to join our team. If you have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a professional attitude, we want to hear from you! Job Summary The Construction Haul Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads to and from job sites across oilfield and industrial locations. This position requires experience operating Class A CDL vehicles with lowboy trailers, end dump, and water bottle trucks in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. The driver will be required to operate independently, maintain proper documentation, and work closely with dispatch and field personnel to ensure timely delivery and support of field operations.
Job Duties, Responsibilities, and Essential Functions Primary Responsibilities:
Operate low boy, end dump and water bottle trucks for transportation of materials on oilfield and construction sites.
Vehicle Inspections & Maintenance:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, starting at least 15 minutes before the shift, completing all required pre-trip and post-trip tasks and report any defects. Perform minor equipment repairs and maintenance as required or needed.
Regulatory Compliance:
Obey state and federal traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety standards. Ensure brake adjustments and vehicle safety checks are completed before use. Secure all loads per DOT safety requirements. Wear company-issued H2S Gas Monitor and full PPE/FRC before exiting the vehicle at job sites.
Job Execution & Customer Service:
Follow dispatch instructions, haul loads in assigned order, and ensure timely delivery. Interact with customers to provide job updates and ensure customer satisfaction. Handle trailer drop-offs and pickups in designated yards safely. Operate end dump and water bottle equipment, including soil cement job operations. Navigate tight corners, high-traffic zones, and manufacturing areas safely.
Operational & Safety Procedures:
Workplace Safety & Compliance:
Always follow company safety policies (seatbelts, cameras, PPE/FRC). Report any accidents, near misses, equipment issues, or lost/broken tools immediately to dispatch or a supervisor. Attend required safety training and meetings. Model professional behavior by reporting to work on time, fit for duty, and in proper uniform.
Hauling Software & Paperwork Management:
Accept all assigned loads through the company’s hauling software before transport. Enter required data into the hauling system as loads are completed. Do not wait until the end of the shift. Complete and submit all required paperwork (DVIRs, load tickets, logs, logs, inspection reports, etc.) at the end of each shift. No exceptions.
Equipment Handling & Reporting:
Operate and maintain trucks and equipment per manufacturer recommendations. Do not modify any vehicle or equipment without written authorization from both the manufacturer and company management. Verify loads, tools, and equipment are properly secured before transporting. Notify the Foreman or Supervisor of any equipment repairs needed.
Communication & Availability:
Answer calls from dispatch in a safe and timely manner (not while driving). Be available for nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as required. Work in all weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Work effectively as part of a team, offering support and assistance as needed. Recommend safety improvements based on experience and observations. Required Skills & Abilities Licensing & Certification Requirements:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement (HazMat Endorsement preferred). Current DOT Medical Card and ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical. Must meet all
FMCSA & DOT
requirements and have safety qualifications. PEC Safety Card (preferred or ability to obtain) Must be at least 23 years of age.
Driving & Safety Knowledge:
Clean driving record with a strong understanding of state and federal traffic laws. Knowledge of DOT safety inspections, including pre-trip and post-trip procedures. Ability to read and interpret driving routes, road signs, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Familiarity with the operation of emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers). Ability to safely operate and maneuver vacuum trucks in various environments, including tight spaces and high-traffic zones.
Technical & Operational Skills:
Minimum 2 years, preferred 5+ years of industry experience operating end dumps, water trucks, or similar equipment (Level 1) 10+ years of industry experience with proficiency in soil cement job operations (Level 2) Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe load handling Ability to conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues Familiarity with trip sheets, inspection forms, load tickets, and basic job documentation

Candidates must be capable of performing the following tasks and working conditions:
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, high winds, and humid environments. Work is regularly performed outdoors and near moving mechanical parts, with exposure to vibration, dust, loud noise, and other industrial hazards. Must be able to balance and navigate slippery, uneven, or elevated surfaces, such as metal grates, narrow platforms, and wet conditions. May be required to enter confined spaces as needed per client requirements. Must wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, respirators, safety glasses, foot protection, and a hard hat. Exposure to loud noise levels requires the use of hearing protection.
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50-75 lbs. repeatedly. Must be able to repeatedly stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl to access work areas. Must be able to climb ladders and work from stationary platforms at elevated heights. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and driving. Must be able to enter and exit industrial vehicles and equipment without assistance. Must have the ability to hear and distinguish emergency signals and verbal instructions while on duty. Must have good vision, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This role requires strong attention to detail due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job.
