Description
Tank Truck Inspector
Plaquemine, LA PSC Group is looking to hire a tank truck inspector to conduct truck inspections as they enter and leave the facility. This inspection is to verify that the truck is safe to be loaded and that the truck has no mechanical issues. It also ensures order numbers and products match the customer’s and truck driver’s paperwork. Work Schedule:
Monday
- Friday straight days (subject to change to 12 hour day shift work) Pay
Range:
Starting pay $18.00
- $20.
00 with opportunity of advancement
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures order numbers and products match customer and truck driver’s paperwork
Calculates product levels to be loaded onto multi-compartment trucks
Ensures inbound vessel is acceptable for loading on this site, including prior cargo restrictions
Validates the volume of each product requested by customer is met at the load rack.
Ensures outbound vessel is free of leaks and approved for transit according to DOT standards
Works with SAP and scaling software daily
Data entry
Communicates with other employees daily
Solves problems when a discrepancy is found
Calculates the volume of different products going into separate compartments of a single vessel
Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
Job Qualifications:
Good communication skills

Great attitude
Any direct chemical plant experience is preferred
Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious always
Must possess a valid TWIC card & driver’s license
18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
Stable work history with good references from past employers
Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

You must be able to:

Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
