JOB SUMMARY
Position requires hands on management•assisting with loading and unloading freight . All applicants must have a class A CDL with 18 months of verifiable driving experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers & straight trucks Load and unload cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary Occasional route coverage if there is a call out•extra pay when this happens•this is the only time you will be required to drive
Knowledge of:
Relevant safety policies, practices, and procedures Material handling Scanning Company computer systems Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in route driving and delivery driving preferred. Ability to operate various types of trucks, including tractor/trailer and straight trucks. Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients.
