The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the ice surface in optimal condition for skating and hockey activities. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Operate the Zamboni machine to resurface the ice as needed, ensuring a smooth and safe skating surface. Perform routine maintenance on the Zamboni, including cleaning and checking fluid levels. Monitor ice conditions and report any issues or concerns to management. Assist with general custodial duties around the rink, including cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, and spectator areas. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed while operating machinery and maintaining the facility. Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate ice maintenance schedules around events and public skating sessions. Requirements Previous experience operating Zamboni Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices is a plus, particularly in maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines consistently. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by rink schedules. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
