Hamshaw Lumber is seeking a Lumber Yard Associate & Delivery Driver to assist customers in the yard, deliver customer orders, receive inventory shipments, and support various areas of the business. This is a full-time opportunity where you will be responsible for handling lumber and building materials in our yard and warehouse. This position involves assisting customers in our yard and warehouse, delivering material loads for customers (non-CDL), maintaining the yard, operating a forklift, and other functions. You must be a team player, detail-oriented, and have a strong customer service focus. Knowledge of building materials preferred and forklift experience is valued.

Essential Functions:

Provide excellent customer service Deliver local customer orders Load and unload lumber and building supplies Operate forklift Keep management informed of any delays or discrepancies Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe lumber yard Assist in various other duties

Required Skills:

Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively Follow simple instructions and work well in a team Have Massachusetts Hoisting license or ability to obtain within 60 days Have med-card for operating delivery vehicles or ability to obtain within 60 days Be able to multi-task Must pass pre-employment assessments Work in outdoor/indoor conditions and lift up to 80lbs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Fork Truck certification is a plus Weekend, holiday, and special event availability
