Job Summary:

The Route Driver familyof positions requires a current valid CDL A, a satisfactory MVR (MotorVehicle Record), an up-to-date medical card, and one years’ drivingexperience or equivalent classroom qualification. Must have a neat,clean appearance and the ability to pass a DOT (Department ofTransportation) exam.

Schedule:

Start 4:30AM, 5-day schedule. RotatesFriday/Saturday off. Your working hours may be modified in accordancewith Company’s business needs. This is the reasonable anticipated payor pay range for this position currently.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

Responsible for the safe operation of the Companyvehicle while complying with all company, State and Federal regulations.

Have a good, working knowledge of the assigned delivery route and befamiliar with product handling requirements. Must represent the Companyin a courteous, ethical and professional manner at all times. Must keepa vehicle operation log and report any necessary maintenance or otherproblems to the Distribution Supervisor daily and complete all necessaryreports as required by DOT and HP Hood LLC. Deliver all products orderedin a timely manner and advise the Distribution Supervisor of anyrecommendations for improvements or problems needing attention on adaily basis. Keep accurate, daily records of accounts and collectedchecks. Must be able to work independently while supporting theDistribution Department. Work in a cooperative manner with managers,supervisors and peers.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma orGED Current, valid CDL A Reading & writing proficiency (Englishlanguage) and ability to identify colors. Basic math skills. Ability towork well as part of a team. Good communication skills. Multi-taskedIndividual. Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Skills and Competencies:

Follow all company safety policies andprocedures. Execute assigned duties with minimal supervision. Performassigned duties satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean& safe work environment. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Days off vary on each route. Weekends/holidays required. Ability toperform manual labor tasks required by position
