Job Description
⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Adult companion and driver (Amherst) compensation: 21/hr and .62 cents per mile when driving with him in the car employment type: experience level: entry level job title: Adult Companion and driver I have a part-time opportunity as a companion/driver for my 26-year-old son, who lives in Amherst, MA. He is bright, curious, and kind, with a great sense of humor. He is on the autism spectrum and also has ADHD, so he thrives with calm, clear, and consistent support. We are looking for someone who can provide occasional transportation and companionship for local outings, including concerts, museums, and nature-based events. You may also assist with driving him to various landscaping jobs he has throughout the area. He would benefit from having someone who is reliable, friendly, and respectful of his pace and personality.

Location:
Amherst, MA and surrounding areas
Pay:
$21/hour + 62 cents per mile (when He is in the car)
Payment:
Provided through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
Schedule:
Extremely flexible, based on mutual availability and his needs
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license Reliable, insured vehicle Willing to drive locally or occasionally 1-2 hours for events Comfortable being a supportive presence in a low-key, companionable way Must complete DDS onboarding process, which includes: Online application CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information) check Fingerprinting If you enjoy meaningful, one-on-one connections and like to attend fun and engaging events, this could be a great fit.
