The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods while complying with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role involves operating commercial motor vehicles, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional service to clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and lawful manner, in compliance with DOT regulations. Transport goods to and from specified locations according to delivery schedules. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles. Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation. Secure cargo properly and ensure load compliance with weight and safety standards. Communicate with dispatchers and customers to ensure timely deliveries. Follow company policies and procedures for transportation and safety. Report mechanical issues, traffic violations, or incidents promptly. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle.
Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License Must meet all DOT requirements and pass a DOT physical and drug test. Clean driving record Knowledge of applicable DOT regulations and safety standards. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. Strong communication and organizational skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, if required.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Extended periods of sitting and driving. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
