Full Job Description Summary:
Provides transportation services as need for the day to day operations at the Greater Worcester Housing Connection. This is to ensure that all aspects of the position are utilized as needed to maintain the daily needs of the programs and facilities. Why Work for SMOC?

Primary Responsibilities:
Perform daily food donation pick-ups and drop offs Oversee van maintenance; notify facilities manager of maintenance needs; both routine or emergency. Maintain a clean interior of the van so as to provide a respectful vehicle for guests and staff. Assist in the kitchen as requested Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work. Assist with furniture pickups and drop offs. Assist clients with move in and move outs Assist with donation pickups and deliveries Provide transportation to clients/ residents as needed. Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements. Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Valid Drivers license and ability to meet insurance standards. Strong Customer services skills Commitment to GWHCs mission statement.
Organizational Relationship:
Directly reports to Triage Operation Manager Supervisor.
Physical Requirement:
Ability to drive. Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
Working Conditions:
SMOC vehicle is provided for business use. Position may have on-call responsibilities in addition to a regular route. As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Driver will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required.
Remote Work Option:
Remote work is permissible in some positions at SMOC depending on the key functions and responsibilities. The Driver position is eligible to work from home 0% of the week in scheduling coordination with the department manager. Monday-Friday ; 8:00am – 4:30pm 35
