Job Description

Job Overview Want to help save the environment while assisting neighborsin Massachusetts with disabilities? Join REquipment Inc.’s Worcesterteam, refurbishing and delivering donated wheelchairs, rollators, andother durable medical equipment (DME) to individuals with disabilitiesof all ages. The ideal candidate is passionate about REquipment’snonprofit mission, enjoys interacting with people, and excels in bothcollaborative and independent work environments. The ideal candidate ismechanically inclined and enjoys being on the road, feeling like SantaClaus.

Key Responsibilities Refurbishment & Repair:

~ Clean, detail,and refurbish various DME, including power and manual wheelchairs,lifts, gait trainers, and standers. ~ Perform safety checks and replaceparts as needed to ensure equipment is in top working condition.

Inventory & Organization:

~ Assign inventory numbers and documentrefurbished items through digital photography. ~ Post refurbished itemsto the program’s online inventory. ~ Store equipment in designated,clean areas with proper bagging, ensuring organized and safe storage foreasy access. ~ Cover and store “dirty” picked-up items in adesignated “dirty” room area. ~ Participate in regular inventorychecks.

Logistics and Delivery:

~ Assist with equipment pick-ups anddeliveries across the region. ~ Perform safety checks per checklistprovided with agency vehicle being utilized to pick up or deliverdevices. ~ Ensures tools, supplies, and equipment required to movedevices are in the vehicle and in working order. ~ Research directionsand schedule/confirm appointment times with customers the day beforepick-up or delivery. ~ Provide customers with manuals, writtenmaterials, or other instructions upon delivery. ~ Maintain vehiclemileage logs, gas cards, etc.

Other:

~ Comply with quality/safetyprotocols and procedures, including REquipment COVID protocols. ~Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director and/orWorcester Site Coordinator. Qualifications ~ High School Diploma or GEDrequired ~ Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical repairpreferred ~ Ability to work independently while following instructions~ Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 5 years ~ COVID-19vaccination ~ Must pass a criminal record check (CORI) ~ Bilingual inSpanish or Portuguese is a plus, but not a requirement Who We’reLooking For ~ Dependable
