Webster, MA Job Details $24 – $27 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Yard jockey English Microsoft Office Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description The Yard Jockey is responsible for moving trailers to and from dock doors, parking spots, and staging areas, as well as ensuring the proper positioning for loading and unloading. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient operations within the facility yard and ensuring smooth logistics processes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard trucks and report any issues to the supervisor. Safely and efficiently move trailers between dock doors and designated areas within the yard. Operate yard trucks, tractors, or other specialized vehicles for moving trailers. Communicate with warehouse staff, drivers, and dispatch to coordinate trailer movements. Secure trailers by ensuring they are properly locked and positioned. Assist in managing and organizing the yard by ensuring trailers are correctly parked and staged. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including checking for any safety hazards in the yard area. Perform light maintenance on yard equipment as needed. Assist in the Shipping or Production operations when no yard tasks are assigned. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures. Prior experience operating yard trucks, tractors, or similar vehicles. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Experience with

Verbal/Written Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions, year-round. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and drivers. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed Ability to sit, stand, walk, and operate heavy equipment for extended periods. Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds. Desire and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules and deadlines.
