Operations Manager Summary of Work:

The route driver drives a company truck over an established route to deliver vending products and render services. The route driver will deliver excellent customer service to all vending clients by filling soda, snack, coffee, and food machines to pre-set levels and ensuring all customer requests are met. The route driver ensures his route is kept at established cleanliness levels and is responsible for the inventory on his truck, loading truck, paperwork, ordering and the money that will be collected from each vending machine. Route starts at various early morning times.

Principle Tasks:

Responsible for ensuring well stocked, clean, and working vending machines on a predesignated route. Responsible for making machine collections, put those collections into company vehicle safe and bring back to branch office where they are counted and deposited. Responsible for keeping company vehicle properly stocked Completing their route within their normally scheduled hours Keeping vehicle properly maintained, obeying all traffic laws, and a professional appearance. The driver is also responsible for accurate recording of information Driver is held accountable for any shortages if deemed they are responsible. Interacts with other departments as necessary. Forecasts and plans the ordering of food, supplies and equipment. Responds to customer preferences and industry trends to plan ordering that support healthy choices and Cuyahoga Vending programs. Maintains required records and appropriate paperwork Ensures that established sanitation and safety standards are maintained. Oversees and participates in the delivery of food. Interacts with clients and acts as the contact for the company. Manages special products. Must be able to work inside and in outdoor weather. Informs management of competitive activities. Reports situations or problems to management. Follow-up on completed tasks.

Education Requirements/Requirements:

A high school diploma is recommended. Requires a complete background check including criminal, motor vehicle record and drug testing. Must be able to climb into and out of the back of a truck and stairs. Experience Vending and Route Driver experience is a plus. Customer service is a plus. General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The vending route driver must possess the following: General computer knowledge. General knowledge and understanding of the company’s needs. Knowledge of company’s food for the route. Ability to maintain records. Strong written and oral communication skills. Skill in promoting the company products ie specials ect Ability to work with a handheld scanner for inventory and daily balancing of the machines. Goal Oriented and Good Work ethics Must have a neat appearance. Ability to promote additional sales. Ability to interact with other personnel.

Physical Demands:

Work with frequent interruptions. Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling required. Must be able to lift of up to 50 pounds required. Must have a clean appearance.
