Produce has operated the Midwest’s Largest Produce Warehouse located in North Kansas City since 1992. We deliver fresh produce to schools, restaurants, grocery stores, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities. We are looking for Hard-Working Regional Route Delivery Truck Drivers who are passionate about customer service and providing on-time deliveries to our valued customers.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Driver Lead at C&C Produce plays a vital leadership role within the transportation department, responsible for coordinating daily delivery operations and supporting a team of drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient product deliveries. This position combines hands‑on driving duties with supervisory responsibilities, serving as the primary point of contact between drivers, dispatch, and operations leadership. In addition, the Driver Lead will oversee our overnight shuttle service from Wright City, MO to Kansas City, MO, with the potential to manage similar Gold Star route locations as they are added. The ideal candidate is an experienced, safety‑focused professional with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding service to our customers.

6pm- 4am or until work is completed

Tuesday-Saturday Weekly Hours:

40-50 hours+ on call

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and support a team of delivery drivers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Coordinate daily route assignments and provide direction to optimize delivery efficiency. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Monitor driver performance, provide coaching, and support adherence to company policies and DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams to resolve delivery issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for driver concerns and assist with onboarding and training new drivers. Fill in as a delivery driver when needed to ensure route coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record. 3+ years of delivery driving experience, preferably in the food distribution or transportation industry. Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
