Job Summary:
- Responsible for pulling grain trailers from Silent Shade Planting Company to grain elevators or grain bins as instructed by truck dispatcher; responsible for pulling tankers hauling liquid fertilizer to WJT customers in the Mississippi delta area as instructed by truck dispatcher; responsible for hauling dry fertilizer, cotton seed, cotton bales, gravel and dirt for Silent Shade Planting Company and other customers in the area as instructed by truck dispatcher; responsible for inspecting truck and equipment carefully before driving, as well as follow all regular driving laws and WJT guidelines; must be capable enough to back up truck to the unloading area and maneuver around rural terrain and poor road conditions.

Education, Experience, Equipment Skills and Other Requirements:
- Ability to operate and maintain trucking equipment in a safe manner at all times“`{=html}“
- CDL required with tanker endorsement
- Must be 23 years of age (insurance requirement
- 1 or more year(s) experience as truck driver preferred
- High School Education or GED
- Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug test
- Possess a current DOT approved physical

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all established practices, policies and procedures of Willard Jack Trucking.
Adhere to the WJT Drug and Alcohol Policy as required by DOT.Follow WJT policies regarding reporting of accidents and/or incidents.
Adhere to the DOT handheld cell phone ban by using headset provided by WJT.Adhere to WJT’s tobacco-free work environment policy.
Know and obey all FMCSA local, state and federal rules, regulations, ordinances and laws.
Haul grain, cotton seed, cotton bales, dry and liquid fertilizer, gravel and dirt for Silent Shade Planting Company and other WJT customers in the Mississippi delta area.
Perform daily pre-trip inspection of truck.
Respond quickly to truck dispatcher’s instructions.
Follow and completes jobs assigned by truck dispatcher.
Keep assigned vehicle clean inside and out.
Maintain accurate and timely records.
Understand the mechanical functions of truck.
Analyze mechanical problems and responds appropriately.
Report vehicle defects using the established form.
Maintain a cooperative relationship with other WJT employees.
Communicate effectively with WJT employees and customers.
Provide courteous service to all WJT customers.
Make safety the first priority in daily work.
Report unsafe conditions.
Deliver products in a timely manner. Participate in professional development activities.
Demonstrate professional conduct amongst coworkers, customers and peers.
