DESCRIPTIONS
- Dump truck drivers for Century Construction Group’s Logistics division are responsible for transporting construction aggregate materials from one place to another using tractor-trailer trucks.
Drivers operate trucks with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds per gross vehicle weight.
Trucks are equipped with dump bodies to transport and dump loose materials, such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, coal, or bituminous paving materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Receive and acknowledge dispatcher instructions to deliver goods while operating a tractor trailer truck.
- Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
- Use hand crank to hook trailer to tractor.
- Use a hand crank to cover the loaded trailer with tarp.
- Moves hand and foot controls to loosen and dump material adhering to body.
- Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
- Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
- Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
- Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws.
- Inspect the truck and trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
- Follow accident procedures if an incident occurs.
- Keep a log of their activities.
- Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
- Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
- Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.
- Deliver goods to client on time.
- Take special precautions while driving.
