We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Roadside Assistance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be the first responder to motorists in need, providing on-site assistance for vehicle breakdowns, lockouts, battery issues, flat tires, fuel delivery, and towing services. Your goal is to ensure driver safety and deliver top-notch service with a calm and helpful demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to dispatch calls for roadside assistance. Provide services such as jump-starts, tire changes, fuel delivery, lockout assistance, and minor mechanical troubleshooting. Tow vehicles as needed using a company-provided tow truck or flatbed. Assess vehicle issues and determine whether on-site repair is possible or if towing is required. Ensure the safety of the driver, passengers, and yourself during roadside interventions. Maintain accurate service logs, complete reports, and submit required documentation after each call. Perform routine maintenance checks on service vehicles and equipment. Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Prior experience in automotive service, towing, or roadside assistance is preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:
This is a mobile, field-based role. Technicians must be comfortable working outdoors and in a range of traffic and weather conditions.
