Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers:

Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight . May be required to unload truck. Requires commercial drivers’ license. Duties for heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers typically do the following: Drive short and long distances Report any incidents encountered on the road to a dispatcher Follow all applicable traffic laws Inspect their trailers before and after the trip, and record any defects they find Maintain a log of their working hours, following all federal and state regulations Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel Keep their trucks and associated equipment clean and in good working order.

Requirements:

Must have CDLs for a minimum of 5 years Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests Must have clean MVR and PSP reports Must have a current Medical Card CDL Class A Long Distance Driving – Eastern US Short Distance Driving –
