As a Dump Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to operate various types of trucks, including those with manual transmissions. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt. Load and unload materials at designated locations, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and materials delivered. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at job sites. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure the truck is kept clean and in good working condition. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). Familiarity with various types of trailers including refrigerated trailers, tankers, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers. Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including loading and unloading techniques. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
