This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on assigned routes while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing excellent customer service throughout the journey. Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues that may arise during transit. Follow schedule, GPS, and company apps and report regularly to dispatch either telephonically or via the company app. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle to provide a safe and pleasant environment for passengers or cargo. Skills Proven experience in bus driving, van driving, or commercial driving is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining vehicle records and schedules. A valid driver’s license appropriate is required. Ability to pass alcohol and drug test. Ability to pass a background check. No more than two chargeable accidents or moving violations in the past three years, nor a driver’s license suspension or revocation within the past five years. Ability to complete required vehicle driver and safety training. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to manage and re-direct client behaviors. Ability to safely operate a vehicle. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to push, or pull people in wheelchairs up to 300 lbs. Ability to bend and stoop to strap wheelchairs safely to vehicles.
Education and Experience:
CPR certification preferred. High School Education or GED preferred. Join our team as a Driver and contribute to providing safe and reliable transportation services!
