They are responsible for operating and maintaining vacuum trucks used to safely collect, transport, and dispose of non-hazardous and/or hazardous materials in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves working in various environmental and industrial settings, including construction sites and plants. In addition, the Operator will work within that team to perform environmental and industrial services in a safe and productive way. The position works very closely with the Director of Operations and other staff members to execute defined and emergency service processes. Terra Nova Solution Inc. (Terra Nova) offers industrial and remedial services to several industries including manufacturing, transportation, retail, and energy in the eastern and midwestern United States. Operate vacuum trucks and related equipment to clean tanks, vessels, sewers, sumps, pits, or other spaces containing liquids, sludges, or dry materials. Safely load and transport materials to designated disposal or treatment facilities. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials transported, and disposal activities. Follow all company safety protocols, DOT regulations, and environmental compliance procedures. Assist with confined space entries, hydro-vac operations, or high-pressure cleaning as required. Communicate effectively with site supervisors, dispatch, and other crew members. Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
