Job Description
Yard Jockey Sandy Land Peanut Company 229 Swains Mill Road, Harrellsville, NC 27942 We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Jockey Driver/Spotter to join our team. This employee will be responsible for moving trailers around the yard and ensuring that they are properly positioned for loading and unloading. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The Yard Jockey Driver/Spotter will primarily work outdoors.
- Move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard truck.
- Perform daily pre-check inspections on yard truck and report any issues to management.
- Assist with moving empty and full trailers.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard.
- Maintain communication between In-Shell Plant, Shelling Plant, Scale House and Logistics personnel and management to ensure efficient operations.
- Inspect containers, manage equipment, and otherwise ensure the safe and smooth maneuvering of all trailers.
- Responsibilities may change to adjust to company needs and requirements. Candidate Requirements
- Commercial Drivers’ License Preferred.
- Proven work experience driving tractor-trailers.
- Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking ability.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
