Box Truck Operator 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Wilmington, NC Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong commitment to customer service. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Operate a 26FT box truck driving and delivering goods local and long distance. Load and unload cargo when needed, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage. Must be willing to stay out for 1 week minimum and up to 3 weeks at a time. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and customer signatures. Must know how to accurately work an ELD. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps to ensure timely deliveries. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL B) preferred; experience with box trucks or vans is a plus. Proven experience in route driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. Must be able to work independently. A clean driving record is essential; candidates may be subject to background checks as part of the hiring process. Must be able to operate a 6 speed manual CDL box truck when needed.
