ABOUT US

Merrimack Adult Day Health Center provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to remain active and involved in the community and continue to live in their own homes, while offering respite to their family and loved ones. Our program is staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurse and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve. We are a small independently owned facility and have a wide range of clientele and staff. We strive to give the best care to all of our participants and support our participants and their family members needs on a daily basis. DIRECT SUPPORT STAFF/DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience in providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities, especially with older adults, is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Assist with serving breakfast, lunch, snack, setting tables, and clean up. Assist with activities, games, arts & crafts, accompanying participants on field trips. Assist with toileting. Not all participants need assistance. Most are independent. Assist with emptying trash, cleaning tables, and clean up at end of day. Driving a 12 passenger van that accommodates wheelchairs for participants. Not all participants are in wheelchairs. Many walk independently. This includes picking up in the morning and dropping off in the afternoon. Provide safe, reliable transportation services between individuals we serve homes, day center, events, outings, etc. Offer safety assistance when boarding and off-loading at all destinations. Ensure cleanliness and daily maintenance of vehicle. High school diploma or its equivalent and 21 years of age required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Background check required. A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach required. Spanish speaking a plus, but not required. Being a self starter with a commitment to quality in everything you do is required.

$19.00 – $21.00 Hourly- Dayshift Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm Full time Compensation/benefits package for employees working 30+ hours/week includes: 401(k), paid time off and holiday pay. Health and Dental not currently available.
