Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Day Program Driver is responsible for safely transporting individuals with developmental disabilities to and from the day program. Duties include assisting passengers, ensuring vehicle safety, following traffic laws and agency policies, and responding to emergencies. The Day Program Driver is expected to communicate professionally, attend training, and support the overall goals of New Concepts for Living.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(include the following but are not limited to): Safely transport program participants to and from the program Assist clients with entering and exiting vehicles Adhere to all Agency policies, observe all traffic laws, and safety regulations Ensure vehicles’ safety, seating, and accessibility features including but not limited to wheelchair lifts, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits are properly maintained and comply with safety regulations by conducting regular maintenance checks and promptly addressing any issues or concerns Report any emergency or incident and prepare required incident reports per State requirements and Agency policy Report all non-working or unsafe vehicles and/or equipment Communicate and conduct oneself in a professional manner with clients, staff, families, and any outside group Cooperate with supervisor or designee and perform any additional tasks that are in the best interests of the individual program and New Concepts for

7:00am

• 9:30am & 2:30pm
• 5:00pm
• Monday
• Friday (perspective candidate can work both morning and afternoon hours)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalent Associates Degree or college credit preferred Valid Driver’s License One year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or related field preferred Successful completion of background checks, including criminal background checks, Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI) checks, and Central Registry checks
