Operations Associate – Driver (Part-time; daytime hours) International Seafarers’ Center, Port Newark Do you love people? The Operations Associate primarily provides daytime transportation to seafarers. Other tasks include assisting with hospitality at SCI’s International Seafarers’ Center (ISC), basic building maintenance, and Christmas at Sea support, as well as other duties as required by the ISC Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive seafarers between their vessel and local destinations including Jersey Gardens Mall and the ISC Communicate transportation needs of ship crew to the front desk, scheduling and relaying information as required Document work activity as required Conduct at least a weekly inspection of building and vehicles; complete checklist and promptly report issues to Center Director Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Availability to work 9:00 to 3:00 pm Monday-Friday and flexibility to work additional hours if needed Ability to understand and communicate both verbal and written instructions to staff and the public Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Possession of or ability to obtain a federal Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card (see website at: https://www.tsa.gov/twic) Ability to courteously interact with people from diverse backgrounds Dependability, punctuality and willingness to work a flexible schedule Initiative-taker completing tasks without supervision To apply, please email your resume to HR@seamenschurch.org .
