Truck Helper New York Party Rentals Irvington, NJ 07111 Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Helpers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible helping deliver and pick up party rental goods safely and efficiently to and from NYC apartments andvenues. This role requires a strong commitment to working with fellow helpers. Responsibilities Safely operate assigned vehicles for route driving, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to optimize routes and schedules. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients. Assist in moving operations as needed, including yard jockey duties when required. Experience Proven experience as a Truck Helpers or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities is essential. Experience with paratransit or school bus driving is a plus. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles is advantageous. Previous experience operating box trucks or tow trucks will be considered an asset. Ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
