Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Yard Driver to join our team. The Yard Driver will be responsible for safely maneuvering and transporting trailers within the yard or facility.
Duties:
- Operate yard trucks to move trailers to designated locations within the yard
- Perform safety checks on vehicles and trailers
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff to ensure efficient trailer movement
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the yard area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic rules while operating yard equipment
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience driving various types of trailers such as flatbed, refrigerated, tanker, or tractor-trailer
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to operate forklifts or other yard equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous
