CDL Commercial Front Load Garbage Truck Driver Position Available In Passaic, New Jersey

Overview:

Interstate Waste Services is looking for a Full- TimeCDL Class A or B Front Load Garbage Truck Drivers out of theirYonkers, NY Full-Time Monday thru Friday.

Start time:

4am – 5am.

Our drivers average about 50-55 hours a week. Overtime pay after 40hours in a work week. Full Union- paid amazing benefit package.

PayRate:

Essential Job Functions:

To perform this job successfully,an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.: Assist inplanning route to ensure most economical use of time and equipmentPerform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety andsecurity standards Perform daily Pre & Post-Trip inspections ofyour vehicle Maintain cleanliness of vehicle. Report all mechanicalissues immediately, to Supervisor Conform with, and abide by, allregulations, policies, work procedures and instructions Conform toall safety policies and use all appropriate safety equipment & PPEComplete and submit necessary daily paperwork Maintain a clean &valid driver’s license Maintain safe vehicle operation, to protectyour safety, and the safety of the public, by complying withcompany policies & procedures, as well as DOT regulations Otherduties as assigned by

Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver’s license and be a minimum of 21 years ofage Must be properly licensed to operate the type of unit, (e.g.,CDL A or B with air brakes) for which they are applying, for aminimum of 2 years Ability to pass DOT mandated, drug/alcohol testsAbility to pass pre-employment fit-for-duty evaluation Thoroughknowledge of local traffic laws and defensive driving techniquesAbility to safely operate various types of refuse vehicles Abilityto establish and maintain effective relationships with employees,supervisors and the general public Ability to communicateeffectively, as well as work independently
