Position Summary
The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for preparing, loading, and transporting waste from sewer plants to landfill sites. Roll-Off Drivers will navigate alleyways, lots, high traffic roadways and may operate in tight overhead environments while on industrial routes. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential, to successfully perform this job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate Roll-Off vehicle to and from job sites and WRE locations
Provide effectivemunication between customers and Wind River Environmental
Prepare for each service job to maximize efficiency (get truck ready, tools, etc.)
Drive truck to and from job site, following all traffic laws
Respond to trouble/emergency calls in a timely manner
Follow all Wind River Environmental service protocols
Must be able to work overtime including weekends and holidays
Must be able to work on-call rotations as needed
Mustply with all FMCSA and DOT regulations
Must practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury free. Must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident.
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job
Other duties as assigned by management

Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.
Ability to speak, cooperate andmunicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management.
Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
Basicputer literacy including email and internet skills.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications
Must have a valid CDL B driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
At least 1 year of professionalmercial driving experience (post-school)
Ability to successfully pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams
Must be able to operate in drug-free workplace
Must be able to meet physical demands evaluation
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
High-School Diploma or GED required
