Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Driver with a strong knowlegdge of routes in Manhattan to join our team. We are a privately owned door-to-door transportation business that provides transportation from schools to a tennis facility in the Bronx and then to home. The schools are located in Manhattan (UES & UWS) and the Hill Schools in the Bronx, and all home addresses are located in Manhattan/Downtown. A typical day will either be 2:00-7:30pm (5.5 hours) or 2:00-8:30pm (6.5 hours) during the weekday. No weekends!

Duties:

Drive assigned routes in a safe and timely manner Perform route driving efficiently Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained and fueled at all times Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times Positive personality, patience and friendly with kids is a MUST!

Skills:

Must be cell-phone savvy. Be able to make and receive calls as well as send and receive text messages Excellent driving skills with in-depth knowledge of traffic laws and road safety Strong knowledge of local routes in the Manhattan area Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful driving conditions Exceptional time management and organizational skills High level of professionalism and reliability
