Full-time Job Overview:

This position involves the safe operation of commercial trucks for the delivery of foodservice products within a local area. The role focuses on ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining equipment, and providing professional customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operating commercial trucks to customer locations and adhering to scheduled delivery times. Unloading products from trailers using appropriate equipment or by hand, and placing them in designated customer storage areas. Verifying delivery accuracy with customers and securing necessary signatures. Managing collections and payments from customers when applicable. Performing customer service responsibilities to enhance the client experience. Completing all required pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.

Requirements:

Possession of a valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence, with all necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months of commercial driving experience specifically within the food and/or beverage delivery sector. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift. Comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions with frequent stops (10 or more per shift). Ability to read and communicate effectively in the English language, including holding conversations, understanding highway signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and accurately entering information on reports and records. Capability to operate manual transmission is preferred and may be required in certain locations.
