HIGHLIGHTS SUNY
Geneseo’s Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation department is seeking a new Zamboni Driver! Under the supervision of the rink manager and supervisor, you will be responsible for driving the Zamboni correctly and safely to ensure and maintain acceptable ice conditions. If selected for the position, you will be trained completely on the operation and daily maintenance of the Zamboni.
SHIFT :
Sundays, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Required Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Motivation to learn new skills, including ice resurfacing and ice edging, that are essential for a successful rink operation Physically able to meet the requirements of the position (including lifting and moving heavy equipment like hockey nets) Ability to follow safety guidelines and exercise good judgment in all areas of responsibility Ability to interact and communicate with students, staff, faculty, and community members to ensure the safety and well-being of participants, facilities, and equipment Ability to supervise and offer direction to rink attendants Ability to solve problems as they arise and perform tasks without supervision
