Summer Meals Program Driver Sycamore Collaborative Schenectady, NY 12307

Overview:

Sycamore Collaborative is seeking a reliable and mission-driven driver to support our Summer Meals Program . This seasonal role plays a critical part in ensuring children across Schenectady receive nutritious meals during the summer months. The driver will be responsible for picking up prepared meals from Schenectady High School and delivering them to various distribution sites throughout the city.

Key Responsibilities:

Pick up meals daily from Schenectady High School at 10:30 AM. Deliver meals to assigned summer meal sites across Schenectady in a timely and safe manner. Ensure food is handled with care and transported in compliance with food safety guidelines. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues or delays to the Operations Specialist. Interact respectfully and professionally with site staff, volunteers, interns, and community members. Perform daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance concerns or safety issues. Support loading/unloading of meal containers.

Reporting:

This position reports directly to the Operations Specialist.

Qualifications:

Valid New York State driver’s license and a clean driving record. Previous delivery or driving experience preferred. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Punctual, dependable, and committed to the mission of supporting community food access. Ability to lift to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
