Job Description
Sanitation Truck Driver / Worker (Lindenhurst) Dependable Sanitation Corp. Lindenhurst, NY 11757 Perform a variety of routine and complex work in driving or helping the driver and coordinating pick up and removal of waste/rubbish and recycling for residential and commercial accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
May plan route to ensure most economical use of time and equipment. Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. Maintain and keep all vehicles clean. Report all problems immediately to Supervisor/Manager/ or Safety manager Confirm with and abide by all regulations, policies work procedures and instructions. Confirm to all safety rules and use all the appropriate safety equipment Operate any equipment authorized to complete your job. Pre-trip inspections leaving the yard and then a post-trip inspection is completed after you return at the end of your shift. All paperwork must be completed/signed and handed into the daily. Must be able to take/pass random DOT drug test. Must maintain a clean and valid driver’s license Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving Ability to safely drive various vehicles and equipment is a plus Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public. Ability to work independently. Valid CDL License. (2 years prefered) Must be reliable, punctual, and hard-working individual. Experience in the sanitation services or waste company is a plus
