Responsibilities:

• CDL B or A driver license required.
• Safely operate yard vehicles, including yard trucks and forklifts, to move trailers and containers within the yard
• Organize the fleet in the yard.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on yard vehicles to ensure proper functioning
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating yard vehicles
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient operations
• Safely back up trucks to the dock.

Skills:

• Route driving experience, with the ability to navigate efficiently and follow directions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and requirements
• Proficiency in operating vehicles with automatic transmissions
• Ability to load and unload materials using appropriate equipment
• Basic automotive repair skills are preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
