Class B Tanker Driver Longhorn Energy & Transportation llc Midland, PA 15059 Tanker Driver Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting liquid cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of various types of trucks and trailers, as well as excellent driving skills. Duties Operate tanker trucks to transport liquid freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo transported. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation of hazardous materials. Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Drive various types of vehicles including dump trucks, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailers as needed. Utilize manual transmission vehicles when required. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker operations. Proven experience in truck driving with a strong focus on safety and compliance. Familiarity with operating different types of trucks including tankers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles effectively. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Forklift certification is a plus but not required. Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
