WHAT YOU’LL DO
Responsible for assisting in a variety of distribution duties; including but not limited to box truck driving & deliveries, shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, selection of orders and proper stock rotation.
Reports to:
Warehouse Manager Fully understand how to operate and safely drive a Non CDL box truck on a predetermined, scheduled route and schedule to efficiently conduct deliveries of finished products and/or raw materials to internal/external customers. Fulfill orders by picking products and delivering to customers Safely operate a forklift or other powered industrial equipment to move, load, or stack packaged beer/ready to drink cocktails and raw materials. Perform inspections of your vehicle and powered industrial equipment prior to and following each trip as required by law. Carry out tasks assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Must be 21 years of age or older. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Ability to drive a Non CDL box truck. Certified Forklift Operator is a plus. Ability to pass DOT physical. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Ability to read a bill of lading (BOL). Ability to operate powered industrial equipment, i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, scrubber/sweeper, etc. Good communication skills both oral and written. Strong planning and organizational skills. A strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task. High school graduate or equivalent. Trucking or warehouse experience a plus. Physical Requirements Frequently stand for the duration of the shift, walk, bend over, twist, kneel, climb, stoop and crouch. This position requires the ability to routinely and repeatedly lift up to 55 pounds and maneuver 170 pounds repeatedly. Ability to use hands to perform fine manipulation, handle or feel, and must be able to reach with hands and arms. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a cool, damp environment (32 degrees and below), airborne particles, chemicals, and moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud.
