- 23 Hourly employment type: experience level: mid level job title: Class A Truck Driver We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving various types of trucks and delivering goods safely and efficiently.
- Responsibilities
- Operate different types of equipment such as tractor-trailers, bunk trailers, flat beds, chip trailers, etc. This position supports the hauling for the sawmill including logs, chips, dust and bark.
- Transport goods while adhering to traffic laws, DOT and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and ensure they are in good working condition (Pre and Post Trip Inspections)
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and driver hours
- Communicate and follow delivery schedules
- All deliveries are within a 150-air mile radius of the shop
- Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- At least 2 years of verifiable DOT experience
- Strong understanding of DOT/safety regulations and traffic laws
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines Principals only.
