Main ResponsibilitiesOperate an asphalt distributor and apply specialized emulsions to roadsCoordinate with Foreman for application rate and special instructionsUnderstand the different emulsions and how to use each one safely and effectivelyKeep track of time and quantities of each project and communicate that to dispatch officePerform related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing extensions, and changing spray nozzlesExperience and Physical RequirementsMust have a valid Class B CDL with Airbrakes and Tanker Endorsements and good driving recordClass A CDL, Hazmat Endorsement preferredWears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsRegularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipmentFrequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlRegularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrainFrequent exposure to loud noiseRegularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles; exposure to high temperaturesRegularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicalsRequired to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel with overnight staysCulture at MidlandAcknowledge and value diversityCollaborative, inclusive and engaged team environmentSeek to hire for culture addWork-life balance is supportedColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
