Heavy Driver F3 Metalworx 12069 East Main Road, North East, PA 16428 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to designated locations. Basic Function The basic function of this position is to transport finished and unfinished goods to and from customers according to the requirements as described in the process manual. The Heavy Driver will report to the supervisor and/or shipping and receiving. In the event the supervisor and/or shipping and receiving is not available they will report to the plant manager. Responsibilities Properly load and unload finished and unfinished goods Complete the required shipping documents where necessary Report any incidents encountered while on the road to supervisor in a timely manner Complete a truck inspection before and after each trip and record any defects found Complete a driver log of activities Report mechanical problems immediately Keep the truck and any working area clean and in good working order Plan routes using maps or GPS Transport finished and unfinished good to and from customers in a timely manner Communicate clearly with shipping and receiving, and scheduling to ensure that shipments are delivered on time Identify and verify the following Part numbers/names Customer names and address Initiate process improvements Maintain inventory of necessary equipment related to the use of the truck and loading/unloading Must Haves Valid CDL DOT Medical Card Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen Ability to lift, push, pull up to 55 lbs. on your own and up to 200+ lbs. with a team lift or equipment assistance Ability to walk, bend, stoup, crouch, kneel, climb, stand, sit for 10 or more hours Ability to work in high/cold temperatures Ability to communicate needs and concerns in a timely manner Ability to read and understand process sheets Ability to hear horns, buzzers, and an intercom page and respond accordingly Ability to follow all driving regulations as defined by the state and F3 Metalworx Ability to use and operate a forklift or other loading and unloading equipment Ability to wear proper PPE- respirators (as needed), safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, and steel or safety toe shoes or boots Why Us At F3 Metalworx we pride ourselves on strong company culture.
