Job Summary:
Drives diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination to transport finished poultry products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives truck to destination for delivery of product to customers.
Excellent customer service skills.
Pre- and post-trip inspections report any discrepancies in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Maintains driver logs according to DOT hours of service regulations.
Assists with or unloading of trailer when required by the customer, including breaking down pallets and separating products.
NYC trips may be required. Drivers may be required to lay over in the truck between trips.
Drivers are required to wear company-provided uniforms.
Required Qualifications:
No major violations in the previous 3 years on the MVR report.
Minimum 2 years CDL class A driving experience.
High school education; or up to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to speak English, and read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Must understand DOT regulations.
No DUI convictions in the last 5 years
