Commercial Waste Collection Driver Local Waste of Upstate, LLC Iva, SC 29655 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Front Load Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of commercial vehicles, including front load trucks, to efficiently collect waste and recyclables from designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily operations. Responsibilities Operate front load trucks and other commercial vehicles, including dump trucks and roll-off trucks, in a safe and efficient manner. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Load and unload materials as required, ensuring proper handling techniques to prevent damage or injury. Follow designated routes for waste collection while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route changes or issues encountered during collection. Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and report any mechanical issues promptly. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license; experience operating front load trucks is required. Familiarity with various truck types such as rear loader trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-off trucks is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus. Experience with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks is essential for this role.
